Ida Jo plays the Frequency, Wednesday, August 7. Show starts at 8:30 PM. Don't miss this Madison treasure. Ida Jo recently took home quite a bit of hardware at the recent Madison Area Music Association awards and also recently won a WAMI for best female vocalist.
The competition was fierce, but Cheddar Revolution: Songs of Uprising managed to take home some hardware at the Madison Area Music Association awards ceremony last week, winning a MAMA for best compilation album, with Dirty Wings from New York winning best song in the non-resident category for "Scott Walker, Motherfucker." Big thanks to all who supported us.
The final round of voting for the MAMAs ends May 17. Vote Cheddar Revolution: Songs of Uprising for best compilation album. Also vote for Cheddar Revolution contributors Ida Jo, VO5, Dirty Wings and The Whiskey Farm in various categories.
To vote, go the the Madison Area Music Association website. You must live in or be based in Madison to be able to vote. You have to register as a member of MAMA, which requires a $5 donation, but the money goes to help youth musicians.
Tribal Call at the High Noon, Wednesday, October 31, 8 PM, with Ultrea and Seven Signs. Cover is $5. Another chance to see Tribal Call play "Walker Never Listens," their much loved song from Cheddar Revolution: Songs of Uprising.
